Great stay in Rome. Hotel American Palace EUR is placed 100m far from first stop metro blue line B called Laurentina. This is very important to many travellers becuse it makes your visit to Rome city center very easy. Hotel staff is very polite and always on service. Check out is at 11 am and we had evening return flight but our baggage was stored in the hotel, so we had one more day to visit this fabulous city.

I had the most horrible experience ever in this hotel. In the middle of the night when I was sleeping the door was opened by a group of unknown people who entered the room and started to accomodate themselves. On my question what are you doing here, people said that at the reception they were given the key of this room. When I called reception, first time they hang up the phone and second time they were laughing at the phone telling sorry it was a mistake. How to explain my feelings after long working day being awoke in the middle of the night being scared and stressed? And at the end laugh of the receptionist like they are entertaining from this situation. So, if you wish such treatment- please come to this hotel. By the way, the, breakfast is horrible and room temperatures is 28.1, a/c system was already switched off.

Rooms were clean but there was no air conditioning and the temperature was 30degrees. When we complained about it hotel staff said nothing they can do, leave the windows open. It was terrible as the room was road facing. Requested for a fan which was not provided. It was a hell night stay. Please think twice before booking. Binu.

Great hotel!!! Clean and well located near bus, metro and taxi stand. Friendly helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast including freshly made Expresso drinks. Lovely peaceful and safe neighborhood with easy access to all the sites. I highly recommend this hotel for an authentic Italian experience.

Good but not a four star experience

We spent four nights at the hotel and were satisfied with our stay there. I don’t know how the star rating works but don’t book expecting a four-star experience because you’ll be disappointed. I paid more per night for a stay at an Ibis Budget hotel in Amsterdam that didn’t include breakfast, so we definitely got value for money. The negatives were the poor quality towels, single tea bags with surcharge of one euro for extra, bed mattress was quite hard and some of the interior needs attention. The positives were a good breakfast (but repetitive), friendly staff & free street parking just around the corner.
